Signage and displays for the Brymbo Steelworks Exhibition in October 2008.
The historic steelworks which closed in the early 90's was the centre of the community in the village of Brymbo, near Wrexham. I was part of the team from Glyndwr University who were asked to design signs & displays and get the building ready to be viewed by the public.
A tight schedule and limited budget forced us to think creatively and make the most of the space available. The vast archive of historic photos, video and objects were organised into a time-line, with a clear, simple signage and displays contrasting nicely with the ageing building.
